Background
AirAsia was founded in 2001 by former music industry veteran, Tony Fernandes who has grown the airline from 2 planes to 75 and from 200,000 to 63 million passengers in 7 years. This marks unprecedented growth by any airline globally, let alone a low-cost carrier based out of Malaysia.
Objectives
To raise the profile and awareness of AirAsia and Tony Fernandes in the United States; to generate an integrated campaign that will capture new passengers flowing out of the US into Asia; to position AirAsia as an ASEAN airline with global routes.
